I turned around on the trail towards Mesokanto La and watched the clouds boil up towards Dhaulagiri and Tukuche Peak. The trail continues up the side of the valley from the kharka (3460m) and then splits in two – the left going to the Tilicho eastern pass (5200m), while we took the right path to try and cross the Mesokanto La (5100m).
